Flagvelta is a breeding farm in the southpart of Iceland. The first foals came in 2002. In the begining we named our horses from Flagbjarnarholt where all our horses ar raised up. But in the year  2009 we decided to change our breedingname to Flagvelta to define our horses from outhers also breed in Flagbjarnarholt. We choose Flagvelta becouse it is an older name of the Flagbjarnarholt farm.

Our breeding goals are clear. We want to breed excelent horses with good gaites. It doesn't matter if they are fourgaited our fivegaited, just that the gaits are clear, effortless and beautiful to look at. Tölt has to be good. The horses have to be fiery, indefatigable and cooperative, with a nice, strong conformation with long neck, nice head and good proportion. We also put effort on having some beautiful colours in our breeding.
